Meet Hoang Hoang's culinary journey began long before he set foot in Australia. Growing up in a large family as the youngest of 10 children, he was surrounded by the vibrant flavours of Vietnamese cooking, thanks to his mother, a talented cook who regularly prepared meals for neighbourhood celebrations. Inspired by her dishes, Hoang developed a deep love for food early on. After meeting his wife in 2008, Hoang’s passion for cooking truly blossomed. His wife, though not much of a cook herself, has an impeccable palate, a skill she inherited from her father, a great cook in his own right. Hoang began learning to cook to impress her and enrolled in a two-year cookery course, graduating in 2014. From cooking for his family to pursuing a culinary career, Hoang’s journey led him from Saigon to Australia in 2015.
In Australia, Hoang honed his skills at prestigious establishments like Vue De Monde and Rococo, immersing himself in diverse culinary experiences from Vietnamese to Italian cuisine. His path eventually led him to open his dream restaurant in the countryside, where he now shares his love of Vietnamese flavours with the community.
Family and food remain at the heart of everything Hoang does. Whether he’s cooking for his wife, his sister’s family, or his loyal restaurant patrons, his passion for bringing people together through food is undeniable.
